East View Patriots Varsity Drops Game To Georgetown After Late Score

East View Patriots Varsity stayed in it until the end, but Georgetown pulled away late in a 4-2 victory on Tuesday. The game was tied at one with Georgetown batting in the top of the fifth when Cole Posey doubled off of Chase Cutler, driving in one run.

East View Patriots Varsity evened things up at one in the bottom of the third inning. Dalton Westbrook drove in one when he singled in the third inning.
Ryan McDonnell earned the win for Georgetown. He tossed five innings, surrendering two runs, three hits, and striking out two. Two relievers helped Georgetown close out the victory.

Grayson Smith threw one inning. Jack Engelmann recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Georgetown. Chase Cutler took the loss for East View Patriots Varsity. He threw five and two-thirds innings, giving up four runs, five hits, and striking out six.

Ian Garza, Stefon Reyes, and Westbrook all had one hit to lead East View Patriots Varsity.
