Parks Throws Shutout As East View Defeats Copperas Cove

Aaron Parks didn’t allow a single run as East View defeated Copperas Cove 5-0 on Thursday. Parks allowed just two hits and induced a double-play from Ingram to end the game.

An early lead helped propel East View to victory. East View took the lead on a double in the first inning.

East View captured the lead in the first inning. East View scored three runs when Drake Rodriguez doubled with zero outs in the first inning.

A double by Smith in the sixth inning was a positive for Copperas Cove.
Aaron Parks earned the win for East View. He pitched seven innings, allowing zero runs, two hits, striking out six, and walking zero. Ingram took the loss for Copperas Cove. He went six innings, surrendering five runs, six hits, and striking out two.

Jonathan Ortegon went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead East View in hits. East View was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Juan Sanchez had the most chances in the field with nine.
